Endowment funds managed by the Foundation are categorized below by the benefit they provide.
General Educational Development (GED) Fund Grants are awarded primarily to individuals who have successfully completed the Letty Owings Center recovery program who wish to obtain their GED. This program fund seeks to partner with social service agencies, educational institutions, and individuals to help single parents succeed in becoming self-sufficient and self-supporting.
Continuing Education Fund Supports initiatives or programs that have values-based education and personal/professional development – both Christian and secular – as part of their objectives with preference given to members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Collegiate Scholarship Fund Provides college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. The goal of this investment is to help students develop skills such as critical and creative thinking, written and oral communication, civic knowledge and engagement, and a continued yearning for lifelong learning.
Haiti Mission Fund Funds projects that support Our Savior’s Lutheran Church’s Haiti Mission Program, which in turn supports our brothers and sisters at our RMI sponsored church in Les Anglais, Haiti. The program also sponsors agronomist, Etienne Francois, who sets up agronomy internships, goats-for-kids programs, crop programs, and reforestation and cacao programs.
Missions and Outreach Funds The Foundation Board manages several funds that support the various outreach ministries of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, such as the Letty Owings Center, Royal Family Kids Camp for Foster Children, the Backpack Snack Program, House of Zion Ministries (Woodburn), and Good Samaritan Ministries.
Boy Scouts Ministry Fund Supports the Scout Camp Chaplain Ministry which includes supplying bibles.
Women’s Ministry Fund This new fund supports women’s ministry programs.
