Job Announcement: Audio/Visual Technician
Summary
The Audio/Visual Technician provides audio and video support for Sunday worship services, other services, and special events throughout the year, including but not limited to Christmas Eve and Holy Week. This includes livestreaming and posting the livestreamed recording of the service to YouTube. A four (4) hour slot has been allotted to cover preparations to the best video recording through posting to the web. We understand that each service will not be a perfect production! A recording of video, audio, and posting to the web is the main goal. Time spent on editing is not expected and the payment is for the four hours only.

Pay: Up to $120.00 per day
Expected hours: 4 per week
Benefits: Paid time off
Schedule: 4 hours per week, Sunday mornings required

Key Competencies
- Good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Maintains the priority of supporting the live worship service; i.e., the purpose of the role is not to produce a polished video.
- Provide audio and video support for Sunday services, as well as special services, weddings, and memorial services that occur throughout the year.
- Ensure that services are recorded and posted on YouTube within one (1) hour after the end of service unless there are unusual circumstances.
- Engage with church committees, such as property committee, to provide input on sound, audio and other worship elements, as needed.
- Ensure that all sound and video equipment is available and fully functional at all times. No church-owned equipment (including but not limited to cameras, microphones, and computers) may be removed from church premises without explicit permission from the council.
- Work with church committees and staff to enhance worship services, as requested.
- Represent Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in a professional manner. Conduct church business in a manner that reflects positively on the Church, its members and leadership.
- Exhibit knowledge and awareness of security, emergency and/or safety issues and be able to handle all matters in professional manner.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (OSLC) is pleased to welcome Pastor Janell Monk as our new permanent pastor and spiritual leader. If you have not had a chance to meet her yet, we invite you to join us for Sunday Worship at 10 a.m. All services are available on our YouTube channel.
Originally from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, Pastor Monk received a B.A. in Business Management from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minnesota. Sensing a call to ordained ministry, Pastor Monk resigned from a career in the grocery industry and began seminary. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Open to the movement of the Spirit, Pastor Monk began her first call in Arlington, Virginia. In 2004 she moved to Oregon serving congregations in the Portland/Vancouver metro area as far north as Longview, Washington and as far south as Ashland, Oregon. Most recently, Pastor Monk served as Interim Priest at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem.
Pastor Monk’s passion for ministry is equipping, uplifting and supporting people of faith. She is delighted to engage with the people of Our Savior’s and surrounding community. All are welcome to join this next phase of Our Savior’s spiritual journey as we explore how God is inviting us to be “Christ’s Love in Action.” We worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. The service is also available on our YouTube channel. We look forward to seeing you!
