Welcome Pastor Janell!
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (OSLC) is pleased to welcome Pastor Janell Monk as our new permanent pastor and spiritual leader. Originally from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, Pastor Monk received a B.A. in Business Management from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minnesota. Sensing a call to ordained ministry, Pastor Monk resigned from a career in the grocery industry and began seminary. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Open to the movement of the Spirit, Pastor Monk began her first call in Arlington, Virginia. In 2004 she moved to Oregon serving congregations in the Portland/Vancouver metro area as far north as Longview, Washington and as far south as Ashland, Oregon. Most recently, Pastor Monk served as Interim Priest at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem.
Pastor Monk’s passion for ministry is equipping, uplifting and supporting people of faith/the body of Christ. She is excited to engage with the good people of Our Savior’s as they continue to be “Christ’s love in Action.” All are welcome to join this exciting new phase of Our Savior’s spiritual journey. We worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. The service is also available on our YouTube channel. We look forward to seeing you!
