Join Us for Holy Week & Easter Worship
Come Celebrate Easter with our New Pastor!
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (OSLC) is pleased to welcome Pastor Janell Monk as our new permanent pastor and spiritual leader. If you have not had a chance to meet her yet, we invite you to join us for Holy Week. Our schedule is: Palm Sunday Service, April 13 at 10:00 a.m., Maundy Thursday Service, April 17 at 7:00 p.m., Good Friday Service, April 18 at 7:00 p.m., and Easter Service, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. All services are available on our YouTube channel.
Originally from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, Pastor Monk received a B.A. in Business Management from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minnesota. Sensing a call to ordained ministry, Pastor Monk resigned from a career in the grocery industry and began seminary. She received a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Open to the movement of the Spirit, Pastor Monk began her first call in Arlington, Virginia. In 2004 she moved to Oregon serving congregations in the Portland/Vancouver metro area as far north as Longview, Washington and as far south as Ashland, Oregon. Most recently, Pastor Monk served as Interim Priest at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem.
Pastor Monk’s passion for ministry is equipping, uplifting and supporting people of faith. She is delighted to engage with the people of Our Savior’s and surrounding community. All are welcome to join this next phase of Our Savior’s spiritual journey as we explore how God is inviting us to be “Christ’s Love in Action.” We worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. The service is also available on our YouTube channel.
